Background

KARE requires an operational lease of one hybrid-type vehicle for a 36-month period starting approximately June 2026. The contract includes: full maintenance (manufacturer-scheduled servicing, 26-weekly preventative maintenance inspections per SI 348/2013 or NCT regulations, CVRT/NCT inspections, puncture repair, minor repairs at KARE premises where feasible); 24/7 breakdown recovery with maximum 2-hour call-out in the Kildare/Greater Dublin/Wicklow/Offaly/Dublin area; supply of parts to original manufacturer specification; defect coding (II, PI, AI, RI); transparent costing using Glass's ICME Plus or equivalent; detailed monthly invoicing with service records. All financial records must be retained for 5 years post-contract. End-of-contract damage charges capped at 50% of average trade value. Contract may be extended up to 1 year beyond 36 months by agreement.

Kare is a voluntary organization providing a comprehensive range of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities and their families in Counties Kildare, East Offaly, West Wicklow and North Carlow. We invite you to provide a tender for the Operational Lease of 1 X Hybrid Type Vehicle over a 36-month period, commencing approx. June 2026. Note 1 – For the avoidance of doubt, we are not looking for a Finance / HP Lease arrangement nor will we be able to purchase the vehicles at the outset. Any reference to “Lease” in this document relates to an operational lease arrangement.
