Background

GRD seeks to establish a panel of trainers for 2025–2028 to deliver training across 9 categories including legislation (data protection, financial policies), finance & IT, business & enterprise, social enterprise mentoring, labour market training (security guarding, healthcare, SNA, machine tickets), life-long learning (upholstery, gardening, biodiversity), personal effectiveness (mindfulness, yoga), community (fundraising, equality, mediation), and skills (woodworking, fabrication, metal working, stone work). Courses may be run once, multiple times, or not at all depending on demand and funding. Assignments allocated based on expertise; mini-tender competitions run among suitable panel members. Trainers dealing with youth must complete Garda Vetting.

The objective of this request for tender is to establish a panel of qualified trainers, from which companies will be selected for contract award for delivery of various training programmes to Galway Rural Development GRD once specific needs arise. The categories of training expected to be run over the duration of the panel are outlined in the tender documentation from March 2025 to 31st December 2028. It is important to note that inclusion on this panel does not guarantee a contract to deliver training for GRD. Applications will be accepted throughout the lifecycle of the Panel and all unsuccessful applicants are invited to re-submit an application that meets the minimum requirements at any time during the currency of the panel.
