The requirement is for the inspection, servicing and certification of emergency lighting and fire alarm systems at various Dublin Bus premises in Dublin. The contract will be for a three-year term with the option to extend for a further 2 no. 12-month extensions upon agreement by both parties. The work is to be carried out in accordance with Irish standard I.S. 3217 and I.S. 3218, to include both the quarterly and annual inspection requirements detailed in the standards. The contractor must provide Dublin Bus with test and certification certificates after each inspection and must develop and maintain a service history of the systems and equipment for each of the locations involved. Test certification must be left on local fire register file after each service and the register’s contractor log signed off. The electronic copy of each test certificate must be emailed into the Clerk of Works Dept within 1 weeks of each site visit. Following inspections, the contractor is to report to the Bus Átha Cliath supervisor/manager in each location regarding any missing or non-serviceable units needing replacement and then to the Clerk of Works Department at Broadstone. Items requiring immediate action are to be agreed with the local supervisor. The Clerk of Works Department will authorise regarding the supply of any new equipment.
