Background

KARE, a Kildare-based disability service provider, is tendering for pest control services across its network of residential and day-service centres. The successful contractor will install, inspect and monitor rodent boxes/traps at every location and produce site-visit reports. Reactive services include wasp removal, ant treatment and fly infestation treatment, billed at hourly rates for normal hours, in-hours callout, and out-of-hours callout. Tenderers must use the supplied price quotation table (Table B) in Euro, with VAT clearly stated. Two reference clients are required. The award is MEAT-style with price dominating (2,000/3,000), plus Experience (300), Quality (400) and Environmental (300). Standard public-procurement clauses apply, including 14/16-day standstill, conflict-of-interest disclosure, Competition Act 2002, TUPE compliance and Agency Workers Act 2012.

What this involves

Provision and inspection/monitoring of rodent boxes and traps at every KARE location with site-visit reports, plus reactive call-outs for wasp treatment/removal, ant treatment and fly infestation treatment. Pricing is on an hourly basis for normal working hours, in-hours callout and out-of-hours callout, using the price quotation table provided (Table B) in Euro ex VAT.
