  • The lack of a specified geographic constraint could lead to logistical challenges for bidders operating outside major urban areas.
  • The contract's performance review structure may impose additional pressure on the contractor, particularly if expectations are not clearly defined.

10. SME fit assessment

This tender is suitable for small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) with experience in TV and video production, particularly those familiar with the sports or event broadcasting sectors. Viable bidders should possess:

  • Relevant qualifications and a proven track record in similar projects.
  • The capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously, particularly in high-pressure environments.
  • The ability to provide competitive pricing while maintaining quality standards.

Consortium or sub-contracting arrangements are not allowed without RCÉ's consent. Bid preparation is estimated to require several days, depending on the complexity of the proposal. The presence of a minimum turnover requirement may signal a competitive bidding environment, particularly if incumbents have a strong foothold in the sector.
