3. Background & buyer context
Kerry County Council, through its Arts Office and Creative Ireland Kerry initiative, is procuring Project Management Consultancy (PMC) services for "Weaving Worlds Together Phase 2" (WWTP2). This initiative is an all-island creative health programme building on previous pilot and development phases. The programme aims to embed and scale a model using traditional crafts as a non-clinical pathway to well-being and social connection, integrated with social prescribing networks. Funding for WWTP2 has been secured from the Creative Ireland Programme under the Shared Island Health and Wellbeing strand. The initiative aligns with broader policy objectives promoting creative health and community well-being across Ireland. The previous phase (2024/2025) delivered over 100 workshops and engaged more than 200 participants, demonstrating the model's viability.
